OK I know I'm going to upset a few people with this one but please hear me out and don't slag me for the sake of it.If you're going to criticise me at least be constructive.
I was in Germany at the weekend to see TS at the Rock Of Ages Festival and managed to meet up with Dee Snider. After patiently waiting for the best part of 2 hours ( along with funtazia Dave and his sister ) I thought long and hard about what I should say bearing in mind I had already met him a few times.
Question - Are you going to do a UK tour to promote the Christmas album?
Answer - NO , THAT'S IT. NO MORE - WE'RE FINISHED!!
And off he went. Is that really it? Is the dream really over? Does he mean finished for good? Nobody is saying although he did pronounce live on stage that was the last time TS would appear in Germany and nobody has mentioned that yet.
To be honest if that was to be my last TS show after all these years it was a dissapointment and I don't say that lightly!!
After the kick ass show in Manchester ( the best ever for me ) it was a real let down. I admired them for trying to change things
round a bit - WGMI,KITB,TIL,were brilliant-but on the whole the band just didn,t seem interested!!?
From BYH in 2003 through to ROA in 2006 it has been a great journey and I knew it was never going to last forever but a below par performance and a christmas album is not how I want to remember the greatest rock band on Earth!!!!!!!!!
I would like to thank all the band for giving me some of the greatest times of my life - good luck in everything that you do.
Also a big hello to Richard(UK)SMF,Dan Bach,Funtazia Dave & Joe Rock.A pleasure meeting you all. Stay Hungry!?
Paul Dee ( president of the UK SMFFTS appreciation society ).

Very interesting you say that. I also noticed that the last show I saw, there seemed to be a lack of interest from the band. I thought maybe I was the only one to notice. I'm glad you pointed it out. I was going to buy tickets for the Dec. 9 show in PA. I decided against it. Reason being that if the show was the same as the last I saw - I will have wasted way too much on airfare, hotel, tickets, etc...

Look - If it is the end; so what. They are human like us. You can only do so much. All I can say is that I am thrilled that they reunited and I got to see several VERY powerful shows. That's all. I never expected it and it was a real treat.

It sure is interesting to me when someone interprets a show an it's meaning. Manchester, to me was a bit above average, not great, Germany however, was great because it was a challenge because we really changed things ariound because we have headlind for the 5th time since the reunion and wanted to make sure that if you saw us the 4 other times, you, the fans, would not get board. and we all thought it was a great show. There was absolutely no disinterest from us, only your dowm feeling because of what Dee said. The very nature of changing so many songs on the fly only makes us better and more aware of our ability to perform at such a high level. Too bad you didn't get off on it. I did and had a real good time. Also, never underestimate our capabilitie as far as making the new CD. It is coming out amazingly and Mendozas production is heavier then ever. Sit back and enjoy it. We will rock as heavy as we always do until the day we stop. That is the only way we know how to play. There is no other way. That is why there is no band like us. There will be at least 10 more shows this year, both here and abroad. Get too as many as you can. JJ

I was in Seebronn for the ROA. Sister played great to me. I really enjoyed the show, boy I drove all the way up from Italy to see 'em, I'd been really pissed if the show wasn't great. It looked as good as the 2003 WOA show, which I actually did see. I really hope that wasn't truly their last show in Germany, since I'm totally negative about seein' 'em in Italy knowin' they'll never be back for attendances are so low. If they will never ever show up in Germany I really don't know when I'll get the chance to see them again.

That's good to know. And feel free to mix up it here as much as you see fit.  While you're at mixing, "Don't Let me Down" would be a welcome new ingredient.  And hearing "Tear It Loose" again in my lifetime wouldn't hurt, either! Just my dos pesos!

I want to be as clear as day with this statement. We play with the same passion every show, everyday, and every year!! The only thing that differs is the quality of the stage gear and pa systems which are always provided and can hamper, in extreme cases, the enjoyment in the audience. We can't control that but when we notice these production problems, we try to play even harder. We cant control the subjective mood of an individual either so if someones in the audience has a bad day and it spills spills over to ones 'downer' prespective of a show, well that is the human condition. None of us are robots. Whenever the end comes for us there will be no tears. The state of the world that we leave our children contains much more pathos then our existence ever could. Pray for the future of the human race, pray for your families. These are what really matter, not some rock bands decision whether they will play another show.

Ah, whatever will be will be, no matter what, I am SO grateful!!! TS has saved my life for the second time to date. Once when I was growing up as a rebellious, know-it-all teenager... and again in the later part of 2003. \o/ WITH MY FIST AND HEART HIGH IN THE AIR....

Jay Jay anyone who has ever seen the band a few times know you guys give 110% every second of every show no matter what the unforseen forces have instore for you. lol And theres been a few since the reunion and as usual you guys kicked it in the teeth.

Can't speak for others but for myself plenty of things more important than a rock band "BUT" for that 90 mins, and the gracious time after the show you guys are up to saying hello, it's pure magic like being thrown back in time and feeling about 30 years younger. lol Not many things do that these days and for that this one fan is very thankful. And of course hearing INGUN just one more time. Between the memories you guys gave me from the beginning of lifes journey and new ones in the middle of it I'm one happy camper.

As always much health, happiness and success. See you on the road.

Not even going to ask you if your going to the Stones at the Beacon? lol

Well, to me it was a great show! I really enjoyed myself! I was standing right in front of Jay Jay and Eddie, as always, and didn't see no disinterest on their part!

The changing up of things is appreciated, like, as I said before, it was my 9th show since '03, but still... "What you don't know..." and "Stay hungry" are a must for me! "Fire still burns", "I believe in R&R" and "Come out and play", almost made up for it though! The next time you change things up it would be awesome to just for once have "Hot love", "Love is for suckers" or "Tonight" (even though you all don't like the story behind those songs, Fans still love those songs)! That would be a dream come true!

I really hope though that TS will come to London (it's cheapest to get there by plane) or somewhere near Austria again to do a more intimate show! I want to see them once again up close! That stage at ROA was kinda awkward! The stage was so high that you couldn 't even stand in the front row because you almost didn't see anything or had to look up like a idiot... so I had to give up my usual front row place... also that catwalk...sometimes it was hard to see Dee and Mark when they were standing on the other side of the stage! So I really do not want that to be the last show! But the upside was that you could move freely... you could bang (my neck still hurts) and jump and no one was pushing and touching you... that was great!

And regarding the christmas album... well, actually I would have preferred you doing a cover album of all time rock classics.... or songs that made you all want to become musicians... or no album at all! I always thought of christmas albums as corny and unneccesary (the spelling is wrong, I know)... I associate christmas albums with the likes of Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Kenny G, the Jackson 5 (even though I'm a huge Michael Jackson fan I always hated him for participating on that album, even as a child) and Barbra Streisand... and not Twisted Sister! So I'm not sure if I will support that!

I have read this statement over several times to make sure I understood what you said Jay Jay....then now I have this to say to you..

You MUST be in denial as to what Twisted Sister actually means to US then. {OR ME if I am the only one that feels this way} Yes our family is our priority and main concern of course and the state of this world as we know it. BUT Twisted Sister is OUR family too I thought? SMFF of TS! I don't think you are truly grasping how deep this feeling is. Some of us are not some whinning children about the ending coming near with nothing else to do, Twisted Sister is in my BLOOD, it runs deep as biological family bonds. So when you say to us "not some rock bands decision whether they will play another show"...that almost discredits/under minds how I feel.....you ARE part of our lives, and when it is all over, I WILL CRY. Do you hear me, I WILL CRY and I know other peep's that will cry with me too!! You can not deny this...you just can't. You may not cry, but I WILL. God Bless you for your time and energy you have given to US, the fans who LOVE YOU TILL THE END.
YES, 4EVA....

Nikkiblack - I agree, Rock City is a hot venue, i'd love to see the guys play there, but if they don't come to us then thats just the way it is.

Jay Jay - I for one am glad too see a band that put their families first and don't just tour to death leaving all their loved ones at home, some people here may not agree with me, but I think you have your priorities right, thankyou for everything you've given to the music world

MAYOR.......since you put it that way, let's see....hmmmm, mixing it up a little and playing "I've Had Enough" or Run For Your Life" or "Four Barrel Heart of Love" just once in my lifetime wouldn't hurt....LOL

As for Jay Jay's sentiments....I have to say this. I have lived, breathed, and bled Twisted Sister for the better part of 25 years. Twisted Sister in my own little way has become my family. So yes, I care deeply about the band, the musicians in the band and when they hang it up for good, I'm going to be losing a member(s) of my family. And for those 25 years, Twisted Sister has been my inspiration in life, in everything I do to this very day. I know the day is coming when Twisted Sister will be no more, but I strongly hate to admit it. So Jay Jay, please realize and remember that Twisted Sister has loyal SMFs who think of you and the other 4 band members as their extended family.

Hi Paul,

I am gutted that you felt this way about the show. I have been lucky enough to see the band around 10 times since the reunion and every gig has had something different about it, albeit a similair set. At all shows I have seen nothing short of 100%. I have been very fortunate to meet with the band and all members have been gracious and appreciative of us the fans. I still can't thank them enough for signing my guitar.

I just hope that they do in fact give the UK gans one last chance to see them in the UK, perhaps a one-off show in London or Nottingham to support the new CD and to give the fans the chance to see them as they planned before cancelling these dates.

I still have a hope that they can play a one-off show at a small intimate venue as Bent Brother just for the die hard fan. I am sure that fans UK and Europe would travel to see this show.

Paul, I hope you get the chance to see them again, I know you will be there, to get a final TS fix.

To Jay Jay and the rest of the band I hope its not the end, but if it is its been a blast.

If you do make the UK, get to Newcastle as BB and play at Trillians. Maybe I can get to play my signed guitar with you on stage, in full makeup. I better start bloody practicing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Finally, good luck to you Paul with your up and coming wedding, maybe I will see you on your stag night in Newcastle.

Richard UK SMF and now self elected UK Bent Brother Promoter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
