DAVID LEE ROTH Performs On 'Late Night With Conan O'Brien': Video Available - July 20, 2006

Former VAN HALEN frontman David Lee Roth appeared on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" on Thursday, July 13, 2006. The performance was in support of the VAN HALEN tribute album, "Strummin' with the Devil: The Southern Side of Van Halen". Dave performed "Jamie's Cryin'" with his bluegrass friends. Watch the clip online at YouTube.com.

Released in early June, "Strummin' with the Devil: The Southern Side of Van Halen" is a collection of VAN HALEN songs done in bluegrass style. The CD features Roth alongside the JOHN JORGENSON BLUEGRASS BAND on twangy renditions of "Jump" and "Jamie's Cryin'", as well as a special radio edit of the latter.

In the liner notes, the Indiana-born Roth explains that "my roots were always kind of country — not the same country as my first band. Their flag had windmills. Mine had BBQ pit and a shot glass."

This however, did work....NOT NBC related..lol..

"Dance Like a Monkey" is the first single and video off NEW YORK DOLLS' new album, "One Day It Will Please Us To Remember Even This", due on July 25 via Roadrunner Records. The first pressing NEW YORK DOLLS' first studio album in over 30 years will include a special 45-minute "making-of" DVD as well as the bonus track "17". The DVD, shot and compiled by Walker Lamond, will contain witty and insightful candid studio moments with founding members David Johansen, Sylvain Sylvain and the rest of the DOLLS, as well as footage of guest artists and legendary producer Jack Douglas (JOHN LENNON, AEROSMITH).

"One Day…" marks the triumphant return for the band since 1974's "Too Much Too Soon". It features 13 new tracks and guest appearances by Michael Stipe ("Dancing on the Lip of A Volcano"), Iggy Pop ("Gimme Luv and Turn On the Light"), Tom Gabel of AGAINST ME! ("Punishing World"), and the DOLLS' own hero, Bo Diddley ("17").

THE NEW YORK DOLLS, who formed in 1971, only to burn brightly then break up in 1975, have been accused of inspiring everything from punk rock to "hair metal." "A lot of the mess people are listening to gets blamed on the DOLLS, but we've always been just a stupid R&B-based rock 'n' roll band," says their self-professed idiot savant leader David Johansen.
