Nearly A Band Member Posts: 513 Location: New Fuckin Yawk | Hello Fellow SMF's I just returned to Westchester County NY from the Quebec City Canada show that was held yesterday July 8th. I must give everyone a thorough review of the show and post the set list (although it may not be in chronological order). So here goes.... I drove up to Quebec City on Friday morning with 2 other SMF's (SMF Cyndi from this board & my friend Steve) and got some flack going across the border into Canada. Once in Canada, the drive and the adrenaline rush was there knowing that I was going to see the band play at the Quebec City Festival. Friday evening we met up with another board SMF Cindee and went to dinner, hung out, etc. Saturday afternoon we all met at the festival and it was such a beautiful Summer day in Quebec City. The language barrier was there as most locals there speak French and very little English. But we all survived. The festival was tremendous. Alot of people, alot of beer, alot of food etc...... We got on line to get into the stage area around 2pm and waited until about 5pm when the gates opened to let everyone in. At about 6:30pm, a band called Phychotic 4 came on and they were pretty good. Alot of teenage girls were screaming their heads off. You all get the picture....lol At about 7:45pm, It's A Long Way to the Top blares over the sound system and I turn around (I was 3rd row center stage) and there was literally 30,000 + people there. I took a deep breath and said "WOW" and the boys ran on stage to begin their show...... Before I post the setlist, let me just say that the boys were awesome as usual. They looked great, they played very tight, and they were all just in sync with each other. There wasn't a glitch that I could find. Dee was really ripping on the group of people who were seated in the VIP section and the dining area. He basicalled said that they all should stand the fuck up just like everyone else and pump their fists in the air. Classic Dee! For the 1st time ever, I got to see the red light onstage with Dee crawling to it for the Burn in Hell song. PRICELESS! Dee's rants just blew me away. The spontaneousness of them as well as the voice and energy he put into it was just phenominal. Jay Jay came out and ranted about the American Idol stuff. Eddie and MAM just looked great and were both laughing and smiling throughout the show. The only regret was that TS was opening for The Scorpions so there was a short setlist and no encores and no drum solo. With that said, here is the setlist (again, I'm not 100% certain of the chronological order) What You Don't Know, Sure Can Hurt You The Kids Are Back Stay Hungry Captain Howdy You Can't Stop Rock N Roll I Am I'm Me We're Not Gonna Take It Burn In Hell The Price The Fire Still Burns Under The Blade I Wanna Rock There will be a ton of awesome pictures posted in the photo gallery of the site in the next few days. One last thing.....a BIG shout out to a certain someone who was supposed to be at the show but due to stupid, unforseen reasons was not able to make it to the show yesterday. You know who you are my friend! We were yelling for you!

Geek-in-Chief Posts: 606 Location: Noo Yawk | JJ called me this morning to tell me about it - they were expecting 30,000... 80,000 SMFs showed up. The old record was 75K, set by ZZTop back in the day. Consider it smashed. The show was the headline in all the papers and local TV the following day. I'll be getting copies of the local papers to add to the site. Check the home page to get a feel for the crowd. JJ's niece took the picture, and it's awesome. Congrats to the band for rockin' the provinces! On to Greece. - D - D

You know who you are my friend! We were yelling for you! Yeah yeah yeah yeah! Great post, you said it all SOAMDP!! BUT...ermmm....can you say...."quest {"O"} AUTOROUTE-ou-Sortie-NORD-Est-RUE".........LMAO! It was spectacular! This was the largest TS show I have ever been to. Only other time was at Ozzfest in 2004 in Hartford CT. and that was ROUGH! And to TOP it all....this Quebec City crowd were kinder than any crowd I have been neck to neck with. Absolutely NO pushing or shoving any where to be found! IT ROCKED! Quebec City, you bet I shall be back, it was the most wonderfully quaint place to visit. I really loved the sites as well. Not enough time to see everything that I would have liked to. Sorry that we missed a few of the SMF's that were there too. It was really special seeing Canadian Cindee again, I had not seen her since 2003 in NJ at Great Adventure. We all hung around and shared lots of fun Twisted history. I do believe we might have drove her CRAZY just a weeeee bit though. LOL...sorry Cindee! And when "I AM, I'M ME" started to blare, we FREAKED OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The intro to this song was not the usual Dee "pre-empt" speech. He had been talking about seeing the hardcore motorcyclers on the streets on the way in and how Mark and he ride etc.......and we all thought it was going to be "Ride To Live, Live To Ride".....and WHOOPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!! SURPRISE!!!!!!!!!!!! He dedicated "I AM, I'M ME" to US, the SMF FANS! THREW US FOR A LOOP!!!!!!! WOO WOO....THANK YOUUUUUUUUUUUUU! Well, I will have the pic's up soon I hope. Working on it as soon as I can. Mitch, Steve, Cindee.....till we meet again.... "I WANNA ROCK-ROCK"........I mean..."I WANT JOE ROCK-ROCK!!!!!!!!" muahs!

I estimated 30,000 + but never did I think 80,000 people there was a record. This just goes to show you that 80's hair bands and especially Twisted Sister & Scorpions music will NEVER die. I am speechless....80,000 people! I will say this tho.....THANKS A MILLION to Twisted Sister for putting on an awesome show. I can never get enough. Next stop for me is Wisconsin. So TS, and SMF's in Wisconsin...let's smash that 80,000 attendance record. Dee, Jay Jay, MAM, Eddie, and AJ.....you guys have to go back to Quebec City for another show real soon! See you guys again in 2 weeks for the Wisconsin show.

Extreme SMF Posts: 123 Location: Calgary Alberta, Canada | Return flight from Calgary to Quebec city - $1200 Hotel for 3 nights - $450 Being 3 row from centre stage in FRONT of 80,000 fans seeing TWISTED SISTER......PRICELESS!! Incredible show! that was the largest concert I have even been too. I was blown away by the crowd there too, all ages, young and old! Think the highlight for me was "I am, I'm Me"!!! Cyndi, Mitch & Steve, Bonjour (lol lol)!!!! Excellent time, hope to see you all again soon! Cyndi, nope you guys didn't drive me crazy! I had a great time! I would have to say that there is NO other band that I would wait in line that long, only to have to run to the stage and have to wait hours before them coming on.....TS is worth it though! Great reviews guys, couldn't have said it better! until next time! Cindee
