THERE ARE PLENTY OF QUESTIONS COMMING IN ABOUT THE CHRISTMAS CD. THE CD IS NOT DONE YET, WE ARE ALMOST HALFWAY THROUGH THE RECORDING PROCCESS, AFTER THAT MIXING STARTS. WE SHOULD BE DONE MIXING AND MASTERING MID AUGUST FOR DEVIVERY TO THE LABEL. I BELIEVE THAT JJ HAS STATED THE RELEASE DATE IS OCTOBER 17TH.

NOW ONTO SOME INFORMATION ABOUT HOW THE CD IS BEING PRODUCED.
MOST OF THE SONGS, IF PLAYED WITHOUT THE VOCALS ARE NOT RECOGNIZEABLE AS CHRISTMAS SONGS, THEY ACTUALLY SOUND LIKE BRAND NEW TS MATERIAL (DON'T GET EXCITED, THERE ARE NO NEW TS ORIGINALS ON THE CD, BUT THERE ARE SOME SUPRISES). THE LUCKY FEW THAT HAVE HEARD SOME OF THIS PROJECT DID NOT RECOGNIZE A SINGLE SONG, WITHOUT THE VOCALS OF COURSE. THE ARRAINGMENTS ARE ALL HEAVY METAL. NOW WITH THE VOCALS, DEE HAS BEEN SINGING BETTER THAN EVER, HE HAS MADE A COMLPETE RECOVERY FROM THROAT SURGUREY AND DOING AN INCREDIBLE JOB. LOOK FOWARD TO DCT REPORTING MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THIS PROJECT IN THE NEAR FUTURE. I MIGHT HAVE A CONTEST ON "ANIMAL TACTICS" ABOUT GUESSING THE TITLE OF SOME OF THE SONGS, WITHOUT VOCALS OF COURSE.

MAM,

Thanks alot for the update. I'm sure that most of us are eagerly anticipating the release of this new CD. To me, it doesn't matter if the CD is good or not, I will buy it to show my support of the band. And I'll show up at venues to see the band play...again to show my support for you guys.

Hope all is well with you and the boys...see you in Canada Saturday!

did anyone notice he said no NEW twisted sister originals but surprises, maybe a few rerecorded older twisted sister tunes like lady's boy or honey look three times as bonus tracks? or even stuff from love is for suckers?

Glad to hear it's coming along nicely. Also glad you and DEE patched things up a few years ago and reformed TS cause you guys kick ass. I still think the album 'come out and play' is awesome even if you think it killed the career of TS. Maybe 'The fire still burns' or ' I believe in rock n roll' should have been a single instead of the ones chosen. Any chance on a US tour after this X-MAS cd comes out? How about some concerts released that have a special or historic value to the legacy of TS or maybe some more demos or outtakes released in the future?

Mark, the whole X-mas thing does seem weird to me. I may not be as excited as I would for TS originals, but I still can't wait. I'm sure when I hear it I'll kick my ass for doubting it in anyway.

Hey, it's still Twisted Sister so it still kicks ass

True i was just mentioning a few. i love everything TS does so to me even the original singles and videos from the album were good choices but maybe not everyone is as hardcore a fan as some of us here are. the public would have preffered other songs.

LOL, MAM I don't think Mitch meant it quite like that but I admit I laughed at the way he wrote it I think he just meant a christmas cd isn't most of ours first choice but that as a true SMF he will buy it in support of you.

As for me, well I ain't nothing but honest and I will say I won't be running out to buy it. Not that I don't think it will be good. I'm sure it will be great for what it is, it's just not my style. I love TS, always have and consider myself an SMF but christmas just ain't my thing, in fact I don't do any holidays. I'm sure I will eventually pick it up when I have the spare $ I just won't be at the doors on the release day. I am a bit curious about it I have to admit it. It sounds so .....unTS.

I can't understand how it came about, I mean what made you guys come to a decision to do a christmas album? It can't be the money cause I really think you would have made a lot more with either new songs or rerecordings of some of the older songs. Aren't a couple member of the band jewish too? So is it a christmas/chaunaka album or just christmas? You know what would be cool, if your gonna do this make it interesting, give us the story in the linar notes or something.

So no I can't get real excited about it but thats ok isn't it? I mean I love y'all but I don't have to kiss your arses and say I love everything you do to be a true SMF do I? I do wish you the best with it, I hope it turns out the way you want and I hope you get everything you want out of it. Cool?

MAM ,

Oh great mixer of the board and minion updater. Any NEW, to TS, material in the can is a bonus and more then welcome by us SMF's. And before people go chomping at the bit by NEW to TS material I just mean something the Boyz never recorded before and will someday be etched upon their already legendary catalogue. No matter if it's cover tunes of other bands or Sisterized Christmas songs. hehehee I think MAM may have posted, in part, to expel some of the myths surrouding the Christmas album and now it looks like it may take on a few more arms and legs. lol

Peace,
MP.

MAM,
I'm sorry for any misunderstanding here. I never said or would never imply that ANY TS stuff (Christmas or not) would suck. I simply was stating that whether I like Christmas songs or not (and believe me I do) that I would buy this album in support of TS because I am a true SMF.

So with that said, I, along with many others cannot wait until this album is released.

Have a safe trip to Canada and I'll see you there!

Recording a x-mas album is a waste of fucking time. Its a great way for the band to make money though. If one or more of these tunes becomes a classic, everytime the song gets air time the band gets payed. Personally I would much rather hear some new Twisted Material then x-mas covers. Play some more live shows in New York!!! Recording an x-mas album of cover material is like "standing at the bar looking like a mannequin from the other korvettes....trying to look cool and groovy."
Dee...you fuckin rock dude.

Hey MP, not quite sure what you meant, am I a minion? I totally agree with you any new stuff is a bonus and it is appriciated no doubt. Like I said it will go in my collection, it just might not be on release day. I can't get excited over it, is that so wrong? Can't help it, I feel the way I feel, I am I'm me. Does it make me less of an SMF? Naw it just makes me a sick mutha f**kin scrooge! LOL

I really would be curious to hear how the idea came about though, it just seems strange to me. I mean did it start out as a joke and then they said hmmmmmmm......it could work. Was it something the record company came up with? I dunno, I just imagine theres some kinda story behind it, more then likely a funny one.

I should also say I mean no disrespect for the band by anything I say or how I feel. I have the ultimate respect for them and whatever they decide to do, hell if they want to do an album of nursury rhymes.....go for it! I might buy that one just for shits & giggles. The point is you guys have worked hard to be where you are and you deserve to be able to do whatever the hell it is you want to do and if people don't like it....well you know that one fingered salute Dee gives in concert......yeah that!

And if I'm one of those you salute because I don't rush out to buy it, thats cool cause I get the meaning of that salute. I do what I want to do too, and those that don't like it saaaaaaa-lute I am I'm me and you are, you're you, it's all good as long as we're all happy.

C-rod ,

LMFAOPIMP No matter how clear I tried to explain it it still came out wrong, apparently. I DO NOT BELIEVE there will be any NEW SONGS from the Boyz just NEW material for them, Like in Christmas tunes. As for Minions lol been using the term for awhile now and its just another term for us SMF's.
