Hey slam board folks…
Is anyone going to Dee's charity biker run to benefit L.I. Cares, the Long Island Food Bank?

From what I understand, Dee and usually Mark, sometimes A.J. play a few songs together. Plenty of bikes, food and such.

Trying to figure out where to park….how long the day lasts…etc. (I bought an early bird package back in May)

Not I. My bike days are over. With osteoprosis I cant afford to take another fall off a bike. Sorry but its not the same biking in NY anymore. Too many cars on the road and people dont look out for you. And its sad reminder of the love of my life who died. RIP Big Joe Kaplan.

Terry

I'm planning on being there with my brother in law
There is plenty of parking at the event and people to direct where you can park so you are not in the way of the bikes.

They have singers during the day and a band plays later on in the day. This year the band is Joe Rock and the All Stars. The band is very good. I have seen them on Long island. Mark plays bass. they play all types of music

The last time they gave you a ticket for lunch, burgers chips, when you played for your ticket.

Dee walks around early, and took pictures with the people. I'm hoping to get my book signed. i forgot to bring it with me last time.

I think the ride starts at 11 and the bikers are back for lunch, then its the band playing and a good time. The day doesn't end very late, but i don't remember what time we left last time, but it was still light out.

I did go….it was hot as hell! But a beautiful day. Amazing bikes, Dee, Mark and A.J. played some fun stuff! (with our own Webbie Don, too! Go Webbie!) In addition to "I Wanna Rock!" and "We're Not Gonna Take It" they played an awesome blues number (the name escapes me) and we also got "Highway to Hell" and "Breaking the Law" THAT was well worth the price of admission!
