Very sad day indeed...Dee had this to say about it:

After a long battle with MS, my dear friend Clive Burr passed away in his sleep last night. We worked together on a project called Desperado from 1988-1990 andshared some great times, and sadly forgotten musical moments. I'm blessed to have spoken to him a couple of days ago on his birthday, shared some memories and a few smiles. A rock n roll legend has been lost, and the world of music is less because of it. RIP Clive and "hit 'em hard" in rock n roll heaven. - Dee Snider

That is a shame. My thoughts and prayers go out to Clive's family and friends. He was a great drummer.

Great drummer! The Desperado album was a classic, and still lays undiscovered for a lot of rock fans.

RE Clive Burr

Iron Maiden was the first metal concert I went to aged just 14 years old. Clive was with them back then. 34 years later I am still mixing with the same kind of people, listening to the same bands, same music. That first concert evidently sent me down a road that helped shape my life. Helped to create some amazing experiences, create some incredible memories, mix with great people, travel, be happy. I can truly say I have no regrets on that score. Iron Maiden set that all in motion. TS soon followed. Clive was part of that early start. For that, I can only say thank you. A sad day for our metal family. RIP Clive. You will be missed.

I'm saddened by this news. My heart goes out to the Burr family, his extended heavy metal family and his fans everywhere.
