The Twisted Sister that we know still appeared in the decade of 1970, more accurately in 1976, when Dee Snider became the vocalist of the formed band years before for the guitarist Jay Jay French. Initially a set list to touch covers, they gained notoriety in the New York scene and began working with original music. The popularity was so great that had arrived to fill the theater New York Palladium without having a contract.

From then on, Twisted Sister started to look for a deal and had obtained a contract with the independent label, Secret Records. They worked first on the EP, Ruff Cuts, that saw the light of the day in 1982. Immediately afterwards, in the same year, they had prepared their first register full-length, that today it commemorates 30 years. Under The Blade, also accomplished for the Secret Records, counts on the production of Pete Way, legendary bassist of UFO.

Under The Blade discloses the pure essence of the Twisted Sister. Although the appearance in the Glam of years 1970, the band presents visceral Heavy Metal to the molds of British school. This album could also easily be categorized among others of NWOBHM (New Wave Of British Heavy Metal), to be inhaled at the time of Judas Priest and Saxon, among others representative. On behalf of this, it bears mentioning they achieved more success in the United Kingdom than in the United States, arriving at 70th position of the British charts.

The production is precarious, mainly due to the low budget. But the quality is so great despite this precariousness. The weight of the compositions is incredible, perhaps the highest moment for the quintet in all their discography. Although the school of the instrumentalists is worthy stating, either for cutting riffs, for little exhibitionists ground of guitar and sufficiently right-handers????.......---------Sorry, I can't figure this part out. I can't seem to make sense of it-----------.

Most prominently, Dee Snider is the soul of the group. A skillful composer and owner of a powerful voice, Snider is pure talent. One of the greatest frontmen who appeared in the 80's. It was exactly these talents that exceeded the barriers of the beauty in the decade in question.

Under The Blade was relaunched in 1985 with Atlantic Records, who endured the thundering success of Twisted Sister with Stay Hungry. The relaunching counted on a rotten mix that the substance of the original release was ignored and in result turned a disc of Hard Rock mixture completely dislocated. Finally, in 2011, Eagle Records made a remix with the weight, but adding to the digital quality. Hearing of the original album of the relaunching, Eagle sends high regards to it.

***This translation is not 100% accurate but it's the best I could do. Portuguese is close enough to Spanish that I'm able to make out most if it. I filled the blanks of what I thought they meant.
