Well, I was back in the states a total of 4 days when that dreadful derecho damn near blew my roof off...literally...and I've spent the last week doing what I do for my job. Disasters = overtime, and overtime = twisted sister so I can't say I was complaining, although six days without power did start to get a bit troublesome.

So that said...I'm fueling up the truck, dusting off the netbook (my laptop has finally died a painful death) and getting ready for the Twisted show in Pennsylvania

Any slamboarders planning to go?

Fried dough....corndogs...a ferris wheel...and Twisted Sister. what more could you want?

I'd love to join you Terry but this one doesn't appear to be in the cards. I have to be in Minneapolis for work. I've got my fingers crossed that the boys squeeze in another show or 2 here in the states. Although I suspect our best hope would be a Christmas show as this point. Fingers are crossed for an early Christmas wish!

I was all primed to make the trip from Iowa to Pennsylvania but alas I will be unable to attend. It simply is too far of a trip from Iowa. My buddy who missed the iowa show got me all pumped up to go and then bailed on me. We are going to see Slash on 08/07 which is only a hour away. I'm Ok as I saw the Iowa show and hoping for a Chicago christmas show as well. I know it will rock.

Alas!

I was saving this for the Road Report but now you folks are forcing me to break out the heavy ammo...

Buffo The World's Strongest Clown.

That's right, not only will you get three great bands--Jac N Jill, Great White and the Twisted ones...but making multiple appearances at the fair is Buffo, The World's Strongest Clown...The Zerbini Family Circus and for the love of all that's good on this green earth, a petting zoo with camel rides. And fried Twinkies!

what MORE can I possibly do to convince you to come to the Clearfield County Fair to see the GREATEST LIVE HEAVY METAL BAND OF ALL TIME!

sigh. I'm exasperated.

Well...for those of who are on the fence, or those too shy to say you're coming...I'll be zipping around the fairgrounds wearing the pink and black! Please stop me and do say hello...we'll eat a fried pickle, feed the goats and enjoy some incredible metal!

see you in the Country, my babies....

I'm trying to make it work. It looks like we're taking a road trip to Chicago for our summer vaca. Without looking at a map I thought I could do the TS show and Rock n Roll Hall of Fame on the way back. Then I looked out at map and saw it's not "on they way back" but the opposite direction. However, now I'm thinking maybe we can do it in a triangle...going to try....
