Thank you so much for this excellent report, I dont know if it is because of your words that perfectly discribe what happened at Graspop or maybe it's the (heavy metal) hangover after 3 days of pounding metal or maybe it's because I'm listening to Out on the streets right now but I almost got tears to my eyes. I'm never going to forget this day!

8 minutes of pure heavy metal madness! Terry, Spiderman is in it Oh and it was 28 years ago that TS played in Belgium. I was only 3 years old at that time, that may be the reason why I couldn't remember it

Because of these wonderful reports I am now going to have to plan a trip to PA this 8-4 !
I remember trying to describe the live TS expieriance to someone who had never seen or
heard the boyz back in the club daze ! Until the release of the singles INGUN or Bad Boys
it was lterally word of mouth that would inspire an aspiring headbanger to go see the band.
Spreading the word became much easier after I was able to record the WLIR broadcast of
the 5-24-80 show from Detroit in Port Chester, NY . You had to SEE these guys once you heard
them , and they never disappointed the 1st timers I indoctronated ! These reports of how
well the shows are being received has this old school , card carrying , smf friend of TS as
excited as I was over 30 years ago ! Great job Armadillo !

Here are some moving (and shaking, sorry about that... it's kinda hard to hold the cam steady while rocking out) pictures to go along with Terry's words, but then again, Terry's epic reports tell you more than any pictures ever could.

Intro/What you don't know sure can hurt you
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qD5yLGOOEXE&feature=youtu.be

I will post some more in the next days.

To see Twisted Sister at a club is great, but to see them rock thousands of people at festivals just tops it all. There is nothing greater than to see some unsuspecting people getting hit by the sheer force of Twisted Sister. And we (as many others) did leave right after them, so to me they were the headliners. Here's hoping that that wasn't my last TS gig.

Terry, I did see you on stage, I did wave, when you looked in my direction, but either you're blind or looked right over my head. Also saw JP, even though at first I wasn't quite sure. Looked like you had a good time. If you got any onstage audience footage, please do post. That was an awesome festival and weekend.

Don't know were to mention this but the 'thank you picture' on the mainpage says Ressel instead of Dessel

Damn these dupes!

Thanks to everyone who reads the reports! It's an honor and I love doing it--
SMF9, I'm so thrilled you're making the trip--it will be worth it! This is the exact reason why I started writing the reports--to share the experience with others and encourage everyone to go to the live shows!

Servus Patrick! Have I changed that much since we last met...I hope not for worse ;-) !!! But you did see correctly, I was there, enjoying the hell out of the show :-) Next time we'll be traveling we will need to see if we could hook up too! The more SMF's I can meet while on the road, the better...

JP

Terry, yeah. It would have been cool to meet up, well, maybe next time... but then again, I wouldn't know where to fit that in, as I was heading from one "appointment" to the other that day, I wasn't really there for fun it was all business. First I had to see the Spudmonsters, then it was over to the mainstage to see Thin Lizzy and to find out where Dee's booksigning would be. After Lizzy, it was on to the booksigning (which would have been really, really cool, had I really, really known what to say, didn't really think that one quite through as there really would have been more time to say something than I've expected, but THANK YOU, DEE FOR DOING THAT SIGNING) after that we headed back to the car to get the book (great read so far) to safety. When we returned to the festival site it was about time thinking about getting to the front (we average people still have to put some effort in getting there ), so we were on our way during Trivium and by the time Megadeth started I was at my usual spot in the front row on the left and stayed there until TS finished.

JP, well, no, not really... but it's been 4 years... by now everyone in that crew looks somewhat familiar to me, so it took a moment for me to realize "Hey, I really know that guy!". Yeah, the next time we all should meet up. Also I had no idea that Dave was gonna be there. It would have been cool to get together after the show.

Does anybody know if you can buy special Twisted Sister festival shirts? I was hoping that I would be able to buy one at Graspop but there were only the 'normal- t-shirts...

I didn't see any festival specific ones.....I popped by the merch tent and the only festival ones I saw were just for Graspop, but it did list Twisted Sister on the giant laundry list on the back of the shirt. The other TS shirts I saw were the SMF gray ones and the basic TS generic UTB front cover. .

I would periodically check the TS merch page on this site-- it used to have past show christmas show shirts and for a while, you could get the original reunion tour shirts

If you want a really cool one of a kind Dee shirt, check out the link I posted from Sweden--great shirt to make all of your friends jealous!
