Road Reporter Posts: 1729 Location: Baltimore, MD | Sweden Rock didn't just knock my socks off last night....it damn near blew off my socks, shoes, pants and skivvies! It's the day after...the truck that hit me in Trondheim must have backed up over me several more times last night--so I'm off to take some more Advil. The sun is out in Sweden today...and given that it's the first time I've seen the actual SUN in days...I'm going to get some vitamin D while I can, find myself a crepe or maybe a nice sausage, and I promise the road report will deliver all the goodies this afternoon... In the meantime--since I know you'll ask--I believe the setlist was almost identical to Norway! (Sin After Sin and Fire Still Burns were reversed....) http://twistedsister.com/armadillo/index.php Edited by Armadillo 2012-06-09 4:14 AM

Road Reporter Posts: 1729 Location: Baltimore, MD | Thanks Kinnet! Great photos of Dee-- wish she had taken photos of the rest of the band--there is one photo in particular I would LOVE to have if anyone has it... near the end of the set, Jay Jay did a solo during "It's Only Rock N' Roll" where he went to the very end tip of the runway on the stage, he went down on one knee and extended his other leg out, held the guitar perpendicular to his body, and the spotlight was perfectly on him...PLEASE tell me someone has that shot!!!

I dunno if this reaches the Twisted Sister band or not, but I hope so. Atleast, I would like to get a chance to pay my respect and love for the band. You fucking rocked me out of my shoes last night. It was way better than SRF '03 and '09, and those were still some badass shows. I was also kinda amused Dee made us give a fuck you to Mother Nature, cause at SRF '03 it was raining cats and dogs, and in the end of "We're not gonna take it", you went out there and said "Hey you know what? Lets give a big fuck you to Mother Nature, fuck you! Lets sing the rain away, Sweden Rock, ONE MORE TIME, 1 2 3 4!!!", one of the best times of my life, as it was the first time I saw the band live, and Ive been a fan since about '87. The first song I ever learned was "I wanna rock" when I was three, sang it to my barber. Anyways, just wanted to say just seeing you guys on stage fills my heart with so much fucking joy I dunno where to go. The ONLY thing I can say about last night was that I was hoping to hear "30", and since I heard you did some obscure numbers in Norway, was hoping for "Ride to Live, Live to Ride", but well... A bag of M&M's without red M&M's is still a good fucking bag of sweets. You all were great on stage, but Mark... You're a fucking inspiration to every bassplayer out there. Hail to thee! Johan, the sickest motherfucker of them all

Extreme SMF Posts: 132 | Hey SMFs, just in case you haven't seen it yet, finally there's the full show (audio) up for download on Dime. I contacted various people who recorded TS at Sweden Rock and now we have the first source. Hopefully there will be one or two more soon. Go and get it if you're into audio bootlegs.
