Extreme SMF Posts: 107 Location: Worcester, England | Hey slamboarders, Just got back about an hour ago from Wolverhampton, thought i'd quickly share my experiences before I rush off to Download (busy week!) Manchester - We managed to stay crushed up to the barrier throughout the whole show, was nearly dead by the end of it! Hanoi Rocks were fantastic, with Andy McCoy showing some stereotypical rockstar behaviour to say the least! Mike put on a fantastic performance and it was a real good warm up to the boys, TS were announced by Danny and gave an awesome performance, was good to see the likes of Captain Howdy in there, AJ's drum solo was just incredible, complete with strobe lighting really made it great. The Manchester crowd ere probably the most lively i've seen for this band, and came with quite a few crowd surfers! Wolverhampton - Sat back and enjoyed the show away from the crushing pain of being front row this time, again Hanoi opened well, with Andy immediately falling flat on his back! Twisted Sister gave another fantastic show, with Dee deciding again to replace the words 'we're not gonna take it' with 'fuck fuck fuck fu fuck you' this raised a few smiles from the rest of the band, the crowd looked great, I saw a few slamboarders up front Got a few pics from Manchester, will post them up after the festival All that remains to say is hiya to all the slamboarders we met over the last few days, was good to put some names to faces. and also thankyou to Danny and the boys for a great couple of shows and good luck in Finland and Spain, can't wait until next time Bex

Look forward to your pic's. The UK SMF's are lucky to see all the extra lighting theatrics/props/fireworks... etc...that must be exciting to see. We don't see that here. It would surely be welcomed adding to the twisted frenzie! Have fun at Download!

I was at both gigs too. I was surprised about Hanoi Rocks - I saw them in the 80's and I didn't think much of them then, but they really did a great job both nights. Twisted Sister just rock out every time I see them. I only came to these gigs as I was unable to make the London date due to a holiday, and how glad I am that I went now that I know that the London gig has been cancelled! The between song raps were hilarious.. I put up the alternate lyrics to We're Not Gonna Take It at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IqQebclxqqQ .. What really made me chuckle was Dee (slightly) regretting swearing so much when his mini-me was put on the stage. Does anyone have that picture?
