Location: Baltimore, MD | It's been a brutal, long bout and today it all finally ended.
Today I said farewell to one of my best friends and fellow firefighter. I've been helping him and his wife for months--they are a really wonderful and special couple. The last few weeks have been a whirlwind, going from one hospital to the next, ending with a week in hospice. I love him dearly, will miss him terribly and can't imagine how we will ever know another like him.
I leave for Europe in less than 30 days--I'm a nervous wreck-- don't have a ticket, hotel reservations--nothing-- but now that Bill has finally been laid to rest, I can focus on getting my Twisted travel secured.
