I've got an old vhs tape that I bought in Australia called "Stay Hungry", I live in the states and so I'm not sure I've been able to watch it more than once. I might convert the euro/aus VHS version to dvd but am wondering if the footage has been rereleased on "the video years" dvd or elsewhere. From the description on the back it has the videos for we're not gonna take it and you can't stop rock n roll and the rest of it is live. It's an official release. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Erik

There are many new Twisted Sister DVD releases and just about everything that was once available on VHS is now available on DVD. Please check Amazon.com for a full selection

Thanks Jay Jay. The trick is on this older VHS tape it has about 8 live songs on there but it doesn't say where or when they're from, so I can't match it up with more recent dvd releases. Here's a link to someone selling a DVD version http://www.spirit-of-metal.com/album-groupe-Twisted_Sister-nom_album-Stay_Hungry_%28Video%29-l-en.html Anyone know if this is on an official recent dvd release? Based on poking around online it looks like the US release of this may have been called "Eat it up".

Hi there,

to me this looks like the San Bernadino concert which was released officially in 1984.

As far as I can remember a DVD version was given away as a freebie at some in-store signing sessions for the 25th anniversary re-release of "Stay hungry" but I don't think this concert has been officially released on DVD yet.

Take care

I've seen a reference to this as being in San Bernardino, however this vhs is from a show that was before the stay hungry album came out, so that would make it different than the version you're referencing that was the freebie and shown on MTV. For an official release it's surprising there's not more info out there on location for this.

With two takes of I Wanna Rock, it seems highly likely that it is in fact the San Bernardino show.

Well, I never managed to find out the actual date when the San Bernadino concert took place but there is something in the back of my mind that the show took place before TS went on the road to promote the album (which was in June '84). I think that San Bernadino was shot in May '84 so you are right that it was a show before the Stay Hungry release. Apart from that the cover which you gave us the link for IS the San Bernadino VHS.

I think Dee said during the San Bernardino concert something along the line "when the album comes out...", but I'm not quite sure. However, I'm 99,9% sure it's the Bernardino show. I have been involved in several live bootleg sharing communities and I think I would have heard if there was other videos of '84 live shows besides the SB and New Zealand shows.

Don't you like it when it works out that everyone is right... prerelease and all. Thanks folks for helping me sort that one out. Much appreciated. I've got a couple versions of the San Bernardino show so I'm not going to have to do the spendy conversion of the old vhs tape.
Thanks,
E

Just curious, what do you mean by "a couple versions" ? Do you mean you also have the FULL show ????? This, to me, would be the find of the year :-)
