looking back, the best show i've ever seen by anybody - anywhere was most likely twisted sister at studio 109 (a roller skating rink in west babylon) in the early 80's. they destroyed that place, i think i was around 15 or so. the greatest long island band playing in my hometown, those were the days.

Back in the day, Twisted was an ABSOLUTE MONSTER in the club days...
3,000 people on a Thursday nite at the Fountain Casino was Heaven!
The old club days was awesome, I wish I could have seen them.
i saw twisted play at a few roller rinks on long island back in the day, and at the ritz in nyc with queensryche opening up (queensryche only had their first e.p. at the time), when they finally got to play the nassau coliseum (i think it was with aerosmith) that was insane. the small shows to me were the best though.
Small intimate shows are very cool indeed.
nassau coliseum we opened for blue oyster cult. I can only remember one rink we played at. That was in center reach (spelling)

yeah, zebra opened for aerosmith. studio 109 was across from the west babylon high school on rt. 109, it had ice & skating rinks, twisted played on the roller rink side. it's now a rite aid. saw the centereach show, thought there was a rink show in commack too.
There was a commack show because I remember staying at the commack motor lodge. What a night that was!!!!
Fountainfan. just for the record, when I say we, it's meant as Twisted Sister. When I talk with the band members we refer to playing places as , hey, did we play there? Or when we played there, the place was packed.
sorry for the confusion

The band played in one roller rink and twice at the Nassau coliseum. Once with Blue Oyster Cult and once with Dio
i believe this show (studio 109) was prior to the ritz show with queensryche (11/83). i have vivid memories of this show, one being a tough guy i knew from w. babylon beating someone up by the front door as i was going in. and two, there was a 3ft high cinder block wall inside the rink that was near the skate rentals, people were sitting on it & it collapsed, no one was hurt & it was during the show while you guys were playing. i believe this show took place, but unless someone posts on here that they went or they were in a band that opened for you guys, etc... i have no proof. maybe im going senile. attached a pic of the place i found online. it's 9/11 - god bless america.

Well, the show in Centereach was at the United Skates Of America roller rink. Cintron opened, and I believe the show was fairly soon after Fast Joey Brighton joined the band.
Michael is 100% correct about the center reach rink. There were no other roller rink shows.
I thought I remember hearing about a show at the 2001 or 2002 Roller Rink in Sayville/Bohemia which was on Sunrise Highway. I think this was around 81 or so?
