Location: ? | King Diamond/Merciful Fate never really did it for me, although I have to accept that he was a huge influence on the scene back in the day. I did try to get into him because on paper you'd think he'd be a good match for my tastes.
For me the black metal thing pretty much starts and ends with the original 3 piece Venom. Loudest band I ever saw, more of a rite of passage than a show. |

| Glad to see someone finally reply, lol. I'm meeting King Diamond on the 16th of July, which will be pretty cool. I haven't listened to much Venom. I'll go listen to some now! |

| I just listened to Black Metal and I loved it! "Lay down your soul to the gods, rock n roll!" My favorite part! And yea, his heart problems were a while back.
