Hi Patrick,

PM'd you earlier but just in case - I bought my tickets from http://www.ticketarena.gr/   They don't do ticket deliveries outside Greece - we're picking up them up at the venue prior to the show.

In Athens there are 2 prices - €35 for General Admission or €60 for the VIP option. As far as I can see the VIP tix have a reserved area in front of the stage.
Thessaloniki are all €35 (it appears to be an indoor venue and doesn't seem to have a VIP option)

I've booked VIP for Athens - hope to see you there. We hope to get into Athens on Monday evening, do some wandering, probably have supper at the Hard Rock Cafe etc. Tuesday morning will be some culture followed by the main event!!

Marty

^^Thanks, mate! Didn't see the PM! Where did you find the info regarding VIP? It kinda sucks that there is no description. Are you sure VIP is standing as well and not somewhere on the stands?

Yeah! I'll definitely will be there... already got the flight... I will get there on saturday and stay until wednesday! Then it's back home and straight from the airport in Munich to Zürich to see Slash! ;-) HRC sounds good!

In the meantime, if someone has more infos on that VIP thing... I hate to buy the cat in the bag!

Hi there Patrick. When you open the window allowing you to buy the tickets there is a  "¡ " symbol under the date of the show. If you click on it it opens a window with a Google map showing the venue location. Below the map is another icon, click on it and you open up a diagram of the venue. I'm assuming the light grey section marked "Section A - 60€" is the VIP section. Have added a copy of the map below

Hopefully I've got it right!!

I'm now a DEFINITE for Greece! Got my plane tickets today--I'll be catching both Greek shows for sure! Urosh, Marty & co.--looking forward to meeting everyone! Urosh: will email the details--there is a plane that flies between the two cities--only takes 1 hour--heard the train service is not reliable and takes up to 6 hours.

In order to get a good deal on flights, I have to fly back out of Athens, so I'll either do a Roundtrip small plane flight to/from Athens to Thess. & back, or a RT train trip.

Looking forward to checking a few things off the ol' bucket list--namely, seeing the Parthenon....some ruins...the old city part of Greece...eating some authentic Greek food....and of course, Twisted Sister in Europe!!!!!

Excellent - this is shaping up  be a great trip. We're driving across Greece on the Monday and returning on Wednesday leaving Monday evening and Tuesday morning for a quick taste of the cultural stuff and Tuesday afternoon and evening for the main event!

As for Greek food - Mmmmm (even better than pizza!)

I'm arriving on the morning of July 9th. Not sure yet if I'm doing the train or the plane to the second show--but I'm flying back out of Athens on July 16th. (It would have been almost $1000 more to fly from Thessalonki instead of RT from Athens. crazy airlines.) It was very tempting to try to do Czech and then Madrid, but to jump country to country then back home is REMARKABLY expensive--to do the whole 4 country tour would have cost as much as a used car...so.....going Greek!

Not sure how I can finance Finland.... still figuring that one out.... either way, this is gonna be a great summer!

My plans for a summer vacation was Spain with a car... but we had some problems.... so.... me and my girl decided to go to Greece for the summer.... I'm going in Greece on 18-th June, get back home on 3-rd July.

And then again the next weekend i go back to Greece on 9-th July, for some Athens and TWISTED SISTER....

Lot of plans..... i'm gonna try and buy the tickets directly from there when i go for the vacation.

Terry, would be great if we both go with the train, there are trains all the time......
I would go with the train after the first show, get in Thessaloniki in the morning and we'd have some time around the city.

BUT FIRST...... Twisted Sister in one week in Stay HUNGARY

Great summer indeed
