Hi guys,

any update on the show in the UK on June 13th - where is it to take place and when to tix go on sale? Also when and where do the tix for the Athens show go on sale. The link on the home page doesn't take you to the venue anymore. Gonna be in Corfu in July so a Greek road trip might be a possibility.

I'm aware that is only a month and 6 weeks to go respectively, and want to start making plans/arrangements.

Thanks for that Desperado, have voted and now eagerly awaiting the result!

" More Bands Announced For Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards!

The Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards welcome Canadian one man metal factory Devin Townsend. The Strapping Young Lad creator will join the awards ceremony bill alongside Skindred, Buckcherry and Sylosis. Our annual heavy metal award ceremony honours the best bands and individuals of the year and happens on June 13 at the Indig02 at London’s 02 Arena. http://goldengods.metalhammer.co.uk/

Announced last month were hard rock legends Twisted Sister to headline the event! Old hands are aware of this maligned talent and the band have already proven their mettle to the younger generation at events such as Hard Rock Hell and Bloodstock – and we can’t wait to see them at our very own awards show!

We can also announce the bill for HMS Hammer! Playing the party boat will be The Dead Lay Waiting, Tesseract, Black Spiders and none other than Biohazard! Most of you will know the hardcore legends Biohazard who have a new album this year, and many may also know the greatest new British rock band for ten years, Black Spiders. Lesser known but equally exciting are the UK’s djent overlords Tesseract who’s debut album One and their awesome live shows have seen them overtake many of the international contenders for the new prog crown. 2011’s theme is zombies, so make sure you dress appropriately.

Tickets for the awards can be won at the voting form here: http://goldengods.metalhammer.co.uk/- this is the only way to get tickets so come and vote! "

Hi Dave,

doesn't look like I'm going to make Download (don't think I can reaarange work commitments to fit it in) . I am however looking at an Athens trip if I can figure out the logistics, convince the boss (her indoors!) that it's something that has to be done and find out where to get tix!! At the moment it's the last one that is proving most difficult. Don't suppose you're considering Athens after the US and Download?

I don't Twitter/Tweet (whatever ) but have replied to JayJay through another means. Cheers for the heads-up!

Marty

Athens is out for me. Greece isn't too good for chair + £££ to consider. I have to admit to looking at the two venues (well towns) in Greece but many miles apart. Also looked at Madrid as that may have been possible - however quite unlikely now - looked difficulty to get from airport to venue (served by subway but not sure if w'chair accessible). I will do Download but only doing the one day. Hope to do London - I did give up on it when I saw it was an awards show but jj's tweet has renewed my hope.

All being well will see you there.

Yeah! I also kinda have no clue how to get tickets for Athens! So if you hear something, please let me know... maybe the higher ups here can shed some light on this.

Well, if anyone should get that ticket I think it's you. I'm sure your chances are good to be the lucky one.

Ok - so I've finally got website addresses for the Greek shows:

http://www.ticketarena.gr/

2 prices -  €35 - General Admission

€60 - VIP (doesn't say what the difference between GA and VIP is though)

http://www.123merch.gr/merch_eng/tickets/twisted-sister-athens.html?___from_store=merch_gr

€38 and €65 respectively
