Damn!! I'm actually going to be in England the week before this!!! I would love to see them in England and to miss them by less than a week? So close but yet so far. LOL!!! This will be awesome for everyone over on the other side of the pond, though! Enjoy!!!!

What about the TBA on 13th June?!?!

Not doing Download (being an SMF in Spain instead) but that date in England might be ideal for me too!!!

Hi there fellow SMF's - I've been keeping a low profile - i'm waiting for a hospital operation (major one) on my back.
So with this in mind - I'm not sure if I can attend Donington / Download.

This hurts like hell - my first TS show was Monsters of Rock, Donington 1983 ...
So seeing the boys play this hallowed rock/metal turf should be a "no brainer".

If I get more news on the operation - the UK NHS could be anytime unlike our US of A SMF's health insurance, we have to "wait in line" for our turn.

How is everyone? Alive n' kickin' I hope.

Cheers for now

Donington is the place - Donington Park is the Race Track, Castle Donington is the nearby village.

Monsters of Rock is the festival 1980 - 1996 ish (one day, 36 hours of metal/rock heaven)

Download is the festival now occupying the site (for four days - metal, rock, emo, and all other sub genres)

Hope this helps :-)

Too true ... last year at Bloodstock festival - about 12 of us hardened UK SMF's met up and saw the band live - just search the "Roll call for Bloodstock" thread I started last year.

Awesome bunch of guys too - Funtazia, Richard (you've already met) and Marty Smf and others - whose names i have momentarily forgotten - crap ;-)

Hey all you SMF's!
Sorry I haven't been on here forever! But was chatting to Dan Bach at a Mike Monroe gig the other day, and saying how lush it would be to meet up with all you guys again! I didn't make Bloodstock last year as TS played on my wedding day!
So I will beat Download all weekend if anyone is around, really looking forward to seeing the band, cause althought I've seen them I think 7 times, have never seen the guys outdoors! Woohoo, will be awesome!

Brilliant
The band completely rocked Download! Have a ton of pics to put on here if I can remember how! An Dan, Julz noticed you side stage and made sure he got a load of shots of you too. Was also pretty cool to see the guys from down and bowling for soup completely rocking out side stage too - in face the next day the bowling for soup guy dedicated a song to twisted sister because in his words they are the best band in the world!
What a weekend!
