I am about to have a book published. It's called Rock and Roll Children and it's a hard hitting account of heavy metal in the 80's. While not going into too much detail here, I can say that the concerts mentioned in the book actually took place including three of Twisted Sister's shows at the Philadelphia Spectrum in 1984,5,6. Of course I would like everyone to buy the book and I think that every SMF out there should, but after reading the terms and conditions, I don't want to be accused of using the forum to sell.
So can I have a decision as to whether I can mention the book on the TS forum?

I can't speak for the band...nor can I speak for the board.

I can only offer an observation: we have seen other books and items posted on the website in the slamboard area because they may be of interest to SMFs. There's a posting right now about a book on "L'Amours"

At least you are upfront that the book is yours--that is--you'll profit from it by posting it--hopefully it is complimentary of Twisted Sister and doesn't put down the band or their fans. FYI--it's kind of moot point now- You've essentially posted it here, since anyone can read your post.

Thank you for your response.
Rock and Roll Children (I thought of the title long before Ronnie James Dio passed away) doesn't put the band down in anyway. As the book is "fact based fiction" I give a complete account of the three concerts I saw them perform at the Philadelphia Spectrum back in the 80's. Each time, Twisted Sister totally kicked ass and I highlight this in the book. In fact, one of the points of the book is to shoot down the belief that 80's music was all Wham and Michael Jackson. Heavy metal was a major force in that decade and Twisted Sister was one of the main standard bearers for heavy metal then as they are now.
So please, Rock and Roll Children will be out before Christmas all things going well so buy a copy.

And what's the author's name? (I'm assuming it's not Toby Chainsaw)
