Hey thanks Saber! They are out searching the resovier again today. I don't know if thats a good or bad thing that they haven't found them in there. Seems like a small enough area they would have found them by now if they were in there. But if they're not then what happened to them? As a parent I think I would rather they find bodies in there then to never know what happened or if they might still be out there somewhere. Either way it's sad. I wasn't going to mention it on the new slamboard since it's not TS related but since you did I will use your thread to keep you guys updated if theres any news. Thanks again for the good thoughts!

Elite SMF Posts: 238 Location: Central Virginia | another day of searching and.....nothing. Today they had K-9's in the boats? They say they can follow the scents in the water, guess all those old movies where the convicts ran in the water to throw off the dogs were wrong. They have been using sonar yesterday & today but haven't found them. They did find a sweatshirt today but didn't say if it was in the water or on land.

Please know that my and my families thoughts are with all involved, including those who searched. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam (May his soul be on God's right hand side). Glen

Elite SMF Posts: 238 Location: Central Virginia | Thanks guys, I know the families appriciate all the prayers. At this point it had been so long noone really expected to find them alive and finding bodies is actually a relief. The mom can now bury her son. I think it would be worse to never find the body cause you'd always wonder if maybe he was alive out there somewhere. We have a man here in town whose daughter was abducted many years back, they found blood in a mans car and actually convicted him of murder (I believe it was the first conviction without a body in the state of VA) Local legend is shes buried under a Hardees that was being built at the time. But the dad said once that every time he sees a girl around the right age who reminds him of her he stares, looking to see if by any chance it could be. Theres a part of the mind that holds out hope. So Finding the body at this point is a good thing. I can only hope the other family gets the same relief.
