the deluxe boxset you order from ac/dc's website is over $200 and has 3cd's/2 dvd's/1 vinyl and replica tour merchandise all housed in a working amplifier.

the regular 2 cd/1 dvd version is still pretty good. the basically cut all the "fluff" tracks from the cd's.
disc 1 is rare studio tracks and they cut the 6 tunes that are just the extended versions of songs already on albums like "its a long way to the top" and "dirty deeds done dirt cheap" which are just about 20 seconds longer than the regular versions and then the extended "who made who" remix so you get 12 of the 16 tracks on the deluxe version.

disc 2 is rare live stuff that were b-sides to singles. on the deluxe version disc 3 is also live stuff. what they did was cut all the tracks that are taken directly from the no bull and live at donnington dvd's so if you own these dvd's you have the missing songs.

the dvd is exactly the same as the deluxe version. the bonus dvd of the deluxe version is a 2003 concert.

finally the vinyl is the same tracklisting as the first cd of rare studio cuts

wikipedia has the info of the tracklistings but trust me its worth it and i believe best buy and wal mart are selling it for less than $30 when its released which is nov 10th

Really cool news -- Somehow I didnt quite get it- which I may have to explore a little-- " Housed in a working amplifier" ? I dont get it. I mean, To me , what kind of a amp can you get for only 200 Bucks?, for one thing , You know ? and then what do you drive it with - as in pre amp stuff or is it a integrated job ? or (like a guitar head)? or something, Perhaps a headset deal? -- Strange to me cause a band like AC/DC is a high level band that you wouldnt think would be distributing anything second rate audio- But who the hell knows right? I mean from a marketing aspect to the general public, I suppose it could help sell it. Humm- I do love the fascination of it .-- Thanks by the way -- My days on the site are somewhat uncertain-- I dont mean permenantly I hope--Need a computer up grade, Not good timming for me, Perhaps the hammer? would help? -- Aahhh -- Life you know.

this might help:
The 12"x12"x4" (30cm*30cm*10cm) exterior box is designed to resemble a vintage AC/DC guitar amplifier and also has the original logo that was spray-painted onto the rear of Angus and Malcolm Young's speaker cabinets in 1975. The “head” of the amp has a handle that lifts the top off to reveal the contents housed within. The head is also a working guitar amplifier. It is one watt ampliture and is considered to be a collector's item.

also the tracklisting can be found:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Backtracks_(AC/DC_album)

it marks which studio tunes will be missing. on the live cd's any tunes from donnington or madrid spain will be missing from the standard version but are avaliable on seperate dvd concerts that were released years ago

I can't wait to get it. It looks awesome and worth the $40 Best Buy has it for. Didn't see the collector's version there.
