Great show. Tate was vocally on top of his game. He sounded a little better than the mind crime at the moore dvd/cd. They played for slightly over 2 hours. It was the 4 original guys plus tates future son in law and some guy on bg vocals and keyboards/guitar/percussion. We got an interesting but really weird set and I was sad not to hear “I dream in infrared”, “silent lucidity” ,”hand on heart” and “man down”. yes you read that right “silent lucidity” was not played. Happy that “the killing words” was played. Here is the setlist to the best of my memory:

neue regel
the whisper
the killing words
gonna get close to you
walk in the shadows
London

sliver (with huge soldier guy doing the drill parts)
unafraid
100 mile stare
at 30,000 feet
dead mans words (cool story from tate about 3 marines volunteering to going into enemy territory to save 1 marine they never met and only 1 came back out. Tate on soprano saxophone. Th eguy on bg vocals and keyboards was featured on the tune with co lead vocals)
if I were king
remember me
home again (duet with tates daughter. Very moving with the pictures on the screen behind the band)

best I can
the thin line (tate on saxophone)
one and only
della brown (tate had a glass of wine at the start of the tune)
another rainy night
jet city woman
anybody listening?
empire

songs - sounds good. I saw them about 20 years ago supporting Dio (I think). Would love to seem them again. Would have to check out a lot of their post Mindcrime stuff though. What would you recommend as the must-have album

Awesome! Thanks for song list! I saw Twisted Sister on July 18th at our festival and an announcement was made that Queensryche was coming to Fort Wayne, IN on October 30th I believe. That got a crowd response! I have seen them a half dozen times over the years and they are great! It really is special to attach to a band for years. They are almost like family. It is like coming home. I think growing up in the 80's was a special time in which there was a confluence of musical divergence. Songs remind me of time periods in my life. Twisted Sister...a senior in high school. Queensryche...jumping into the world of college AND work.

My favorite Queensryche concert was at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago when they shared the stage with Dream Theater about 5 years ago. I had never seen Dream Theater and they were great as well. Both bands played together at the end ripping out some WHO tunes. It was really cool seeing all those guys on the stage at the same time! What a treat!

Ryche and Roll! Todd
