Police are a great band.........i don't like sting's solo stuff though, too Pop-ish for me

Police are a great band.........i don't like sting's solo stuff though, too Pop-ish for me


even though sting's solo stuff gets plyed on the radio its actually less pop than the police stuff. most of sting's songs have a lot of jazz and world music in them which is the opposite of pop. he's just such a good songwriter than they still get played on the radio. if i made a jazz album it wouldn't get played on top 40 radio

) i didn't say it's Pop music, i said it's pop-ish.........you said it yourself, if it is being aired on top 40 on radio, it must be pop-ish to succeed, don't you think so? BTW, in the solo stuff from sting, i very much respect the drummer Manu Kache, he is the man, he was just in my hometown for a gig, he is a brilliant drummer.

sting always works with great musicians. everyone should own his first 3 solo albums (dream of blue turtles, nothing like the sun, soul cages). after that he started going downhill
