Okay,

so I was driving home from work yesterday and 'great expectations' by Kiss came on, and I thought, 'yep, I remember feeling just like that watchin TS'

So I wondered what the rest of ya thought, songs that bring back memories of gigs, one's you listened to in the car on the way down, or maybe one you'd really love to hear them do a cover of?

Maybe we could end up with some sort of 'driving to a gig compilation album'

Doesn't matter how un-realed or cheesy they may seem, what gets you in the twisted mood?

This does not remind me of TS. But the first big consert i attended was Kiss in 1996. I was 16 years old and it was a great summer night, and while we waited for Kiss to come and do their job. They played "Van Halen, Jump" I never did like that song, But every time i hear it since then it takes me away to that night. Sitting their and just wait for it to happend and it sure did.

Bex,

Cool question!  It really does depends on what year, but the Long Island front row girls and I used to get ready to go to the show while listening to certain songs.  You know kind of like people that play sports use different songs to psych them up before a game! Some of the songs that stand out for me were:

Long Live Rock and Roll - Rainbow

All Night Long - Rainbow

Gates of Babylon - Rainbow (lots of Rainbow, I never noticed that before!)

Time Warp and Sweet Transvestite - Rocky Horror Soundtrack

Any Ted Nugent - (that was usually at my insistence!)

And of course any time we'd hear It's a Long Way to the Top...(by accident) we'd always get psyched as well.  We wouldn't play that one on purpose, though...we thought it was too irreverent to do so!

Thanks for the trip down memory lane!  Those truly were the days.
