European version of A Twisted Christmas
Got the European version of the CD today. I don't mind that I got the CD a month later than my US SMF friends because the European version includes some bonus stuff not available elsewhere: White Christmas featuring Doro Pesch. She sings every other verse in German. I actually liked better the version with just Dee, though. The European CD also includes a track called Merry Christmas, which is sung by the SMF's that got invited to sing the backing vocals. I'm not sure if that is included on the US version. Amazon.com doesn't list it anyway. And lastly the real bonus track: White Christmas sung in Spanish by Eddie Ojeda.
I have to admit that I have changed my mind about Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas. The song has absolutely a beautiful melody. Still not too keen on the Ramones part, though.
I think this CD is a worthwhile addition to the Twisted legacy.
I got my copy yesterday too. Some funny and energetic stuff and some not so. I have to say that Eddie's voice sounds really good on his spanish rendition of "White Christmas".
Dee sounds Dee, which is cool. Great wall of guitars overall but a bit too muddy and oddly reverbed drum sound for my ears through the whole album. Anyways, i'm glad i got it.

Yes, Eddie sounds good on White Christmas but he doesn't sound anything at all like he did on his solo CD. I don't think that I would've recogniced the singer if someone had played me the track without knowing. He stretches his voice to the very upper limit of his range on White Christmas. I think he sounds better when he sings lower like on his solo CD. Anyway, very cool rendition of White Christmas. Something special for our Spanish SMF's. Yolanda, are you listening?
I'm really surprised at how much I like this CD. We *need* to get another original CD from TS. We *know* they can do it.
